Don’t expect an officially licensed lightsaber peripheral for the Wii. January 10, 2008

Nintendo won’t let anyone, Lucasarts included, make any type of ‘bat-like’ peripherals for the Wiimote. They are very worried about there gamers safety when it comes to something like this. So basically, Nintendo really doesn’t like those Wiimote lightsaber attachments you see in your local game stores.
Max’s Q’s?
Would you like to see a lightsaber peripheral for Wii?

eh, I’m not really all that into pointless add ons (tennis rackets, etc.) unless its free, I really see no point.
And hey, having a lightsaber-esque attachment on your Wii remote wouldn’t be realistic anyway because an actual Lightsaber blade would be weightless so it would basically be like just holding the hilt (which would be just like the Wii remote)

Yeah, I’d like to see it, but I wouldn’t be buying it though.
Just watch out for the Star Wars kid. \:D/

no, that just makes peoples waste their money, and nintedno really would get sued for people breaking shit, they don’t need to lose any money for something that people shouldn’t buy in the first place

I’m not pining for one, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t buy one if they were released.
Its all a bit of fun anyway.
