Nintendo Awarded Emmy January 8, 2008

Nintendo has been turning heads at the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, its current generation hardware interfaces being awarded an Emmy for excellence in engineering creativity.
Control systems for both the Wii and DS have drawn widespread acclaim, and the award was recognition for Nintendo’s pioneering work in the field. It’s the second year in a row that Nintendo has been heralded at the Technological & Engineering Emmy Awards, having won an award last year for the invention of the D-pad, which laid the groundwork for generations of games, as well as being applied in other fields.
