GAH! This is the sort of stuff I’ve been waiting for ever since the Wii was announced and it’s taken a homebrew developer to go where no game studio has gone before.

    ….
    This guy is awesome
    and this is awesome.
I’m downloading that and trying it right now. I’ve said this before, IR in the Wiimote is LOADS better than the accelerometer

I downloaded the program and as soon as I run the application i get the following error:

    “Wiimote FishtankVR has stopped working”

Im running Vista and have the latest .NET framework installed.

If anyone knows how to fix this I’d really apreciate them posting the answer.

    Oh My God!

This guy has become my personal hero! Really, if I had to name one thing gaming studios should be doing at the moment, it would be racing to hire this fellow with some pretty stack of green. This is the final proof of wii really being the next-gen thing \o/

This is truly amazing…. if Nintendo was smart they would hire this dude ASAP! If they were to come out with a truly virtual reality game they would blow both sony and microsoft completely out of the water and create the new mania of the 21st century…. We have been waiting forever to see this type of technology and he proves just how close it is to being able to happen. To conclude Nintendo better get its butt in gear and get this developed and released and kill the competition!

  • Ang

damn nintendo needs to take your project on

  • Jack Colbran

Brilliant! I haven't got a Wii, but I would buy one tomorrow if it had games that use this technique.
