Rockstar laughs off GTA IV for Wii

“…it quickly laughed off any thought of Grand Theft Auto coming to the system. Despite Reggie Fils-Aime entering into talks with Take-Two about just that very game, a company representative just said, “There are other titles better suited to the Wii than Grand Theft Auto.”

So Manhunt 2 was suitable for the Wii…as well as Bully…yet GTA is not suitable? Oh well at least there are seven Take 2 titles heading to the Wii in 2008.

    Maybe GTA3, VC and SA could be ported to Wii but GTA IV would look like total snot on Wii, hell, the less stylised characters have hit the uncanny valley and look like snot on 360, doesn’t mean I’m not going to play it though.

    Anyone ever see the Half Life 2 Orange box? I think a similar GTA game that uses the low res stylized versions of characters would work on the Wii. It doesn’t have to be ultra realistic to work. Team Fortress 2 looks amazing to me and just plain fun.

    It’s so easy to see that they’re falling for the kiddy game console stereotype that covers Nintendo and the wii.

    Doesn’t matter really, there are many great games coming to the wii in 2008 so I won’t be losing any sleep over Gta not being one of them.

    If Rockstar releases GTA 4 on the Wii I will never buy and Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 all I would ever need is a Wii

    i own both a PS3 and a wii (never a xbox) and to port GTA IV to the wii would be next 2 impossable really i mean the game would look like liberty city stories on the PSP no draw distance, no ehporia engine or rage engine (so they would have to replace the games WHOLE running engines it would be better just 2 bring a exclusive GTA title suited just for the wii then GTA IV
