3 NES Super Mario Bros. Platforming games!

These three Mario games were some of the most popular in the history of videogames.

Super Mario Bros. quickly became the best selling game of all time, and with a greedy Nintendo a sequel followed up. The second game “Super Mario Bros. 2″ which was a port of “Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic” which was a game released in Japan. Nintendo switched up the main character designs and a couple items, along with the animations of items, making a quick product ment for money. Though SMB2 is the ‘odd-one-out’ in the group it also introduced a couple long running characters to the series (Bomb-ombs, and Shy-Guys in that list). Two years later a new platforming game featuring america’s favourite italian plumber was released. This game combined the mechanic’s of the first game and the quirk aspects of the second to make (in my opinion) the best Mario game to date. The graphic’s were improved, suits and new items were added and the amout of tricks and secrets in the game was amazing.

    I wish they’d release the upgraded SMB series on Virtual Console. The one they did for the SNES that had all the games bundled with upgraded graphics. I’d pay $10 for it.
