good news and bad news, first good news is that Gh4 will have downloadable content for the wii, but the bad news is just like alpharocker said the wii probably wont get any downloadable content for guitar hero 3, i have a wii and some of my friends have a 360 so they get all the downloadable content while people who have a wii don’t get any extra songs to play which makes Gh3 for the wii very boring after some time. i went out and got another gh controller for the ps2 and got gh1 and gh2 all for the sake of playing a new song for once. i am pretty disappointed that the wii will not get any DLC so i guess im gonna have to wait for few more months for GH4

I would really love to be able to download songs to the Wii Guitar Hero III as well. But sadly, TheCoose is probably right. As much money as they suck out of us, it would be no surprise that they just release a new Guitar Hero that can have downloadable songs put on to it instead of just giving an update or patch to enable you to download songs to Guitar Hero III. The newer games will also probably require a NEW guitar for another $70. So this way, not only do we have to buy a whole new game and guitar all over again, but now we get to spend more money on downloadable songs as well! You could easily end up spending $100 or more to get the game, guitar, and songs. It’s all just a marketing ploy. Remember this people.

I think that it would be cool to down load some songs for the wii. I also hope there are more ppl and more guitars to.

You guys are foolish to believe that they would support issuing more songs for #3 when they are working on #4. Rules of marketing would make them stupid to pawn off some games rather than sell the masses a whole new disk. I assume they will change the guitar as well to suck a few more bucks out of us.

yes it would be cool to have some better songs, but as “alpharocker” said and “bill” its most likely will not occure. activision is now too buisy with GH 4 and is forgetting about #3

its such a shame nintendo havent pushed activision more on this..

its one of the best games ever invented and there going to loose it all to microsofts 360 which has loads of extra downloadable content..

i know loads of people that are contemplating selling there wiis and moving on to the 360 version just got gh3 and all the updates available

i love guitar hero i can almost play through the fire and flames expert,
very tricky
anyway i would love to know how i download songs on t my ps3 even though this is a wii website ive always thought

Translation: It ain’t happening. Considering how long people have been wanting it, I’m probably just going to buy guitar hero for the PC and then you can “modify” the game so you can play all the guitar hero 1 and 2 songs as well.

Well, thanks for working on it. It is the one downside to playing Guitar Hero on the wii. Actually, the other downside is that there isn’t a God of Rock… But it’s fine. They are exclusive to 360, no problem.

And for everyone who’s like “There should be a whole bunch of songs so we can choose whatever we want!” Well, although that would be nice, it’s not like they download a song and boom they have all the notes. They have to have people sit down and decide how it’s gonna work and look. So it’s not that simple unfortunately.

The only real thing the wii has going for it is that the Wi-Fi is free. Which is VERY nice.
