    Yeah totally. I have read up and seen videos of ways to put songs on guitar hero II. I do not entirely know if it is legal or not but i have not tried it because i only own a wii.

    They must learn some way to do this. I for one would like to play avenged sevenfold, and crazy train. Also, when will they come out with seperately sold guitar’s?

    Guitar Hero III is a great game. the first i played and it is already best game. i have gone from standing in line for it, then a week later playing on expert.

    All it needs is more songs, perferably 2 at least each week. More songs would improve the game, as well as nintendo’s fund if it costs points. If it is also possible to release exclusive wii titles such as a guitar hero called “Rock the century” or something.

    I just sent an email to nintendo asking them about the downloadable songs. Hopefully I can get some answers from them.

    I personally would like to see some ac/dc songs like thunderstruck and the razors edge. It would also be cool for us wii owners to be able to play the songs from past games.

    Having a large downloadable content for guitar hero would be perfect. Pairing with iTunes or similar network where there are literally thousands of songs to choose from would be amazing. The people that I play with love the game but we all wish that there were more of the songs that we enjoy, or at least more alternative, hard rock stuff- some female singers would be great to have.

    In GH1 I played BackInBlack… no sure if that was a hack my friend did but that was by AC/DC. I was reading other coments, okay people you’re lucky there even doing this, 2 a week is a little ecsintrec(sp?). I would love to see something like this setup by april or may. That’s is only 3 or 4 months away.

    I hope it’s soon on the downloads… is there any idea if GH2 is going to come to the wii. I checked the songlist and it’s crazy it has all of my favorite songs!

    Downloadable songs would be AWESOME!!! They sell the guitar seperate now. I was going to pick it up but they want $69!!! WHAT????? It’s not like you get a game or something with it. I can’t wait for Guitar Hero IV Aerosmith! Please make it have downloadable songs!

    When are you guys going to have downloadable songs? PS3 and Xbox both have them. I really like the Wii system, but very annoyed with the fact that I can’t get downloadable songs and that everything the other systems can do, this one can’t. Rockband came out for the other systems, but nothing for Wii yet. All I am hearing is to wait. Come on guys, you have something really cool here, don’t mess it up.

    Steve: The set release date is June 22, 2008. It might be bumped back though. (This is RockBand Wii).

    Rockband comes out for wii in june, however, it is quite disappointing that there isn’t downloadable songs. I mean the other set lists for the previous two games were way better and even if they only released downloads of those songs i’d be content

    Well, thanks for working on it. It is the one downside to playing Guitar Hero on the wii. Actually, the other downside is that there isn’t a God of Rock… But it’s fine. They are exclusive to 360, no problem.

    And for everyone who’s like “There should be a whole bunch of songs so we can choose whatever we want!” Well, although that would be nice, it’s not like they download a song and boom they have all the notes. They have to have people sit down and decide how it’s gonna work and look. So it’s not that simple unfortunately.

    The only real thing the wii has going for it is that the Wi-Fi is free. Which is VERY nice.

    Translation: It ain’t happening. Considering how long people have been wanting it, I’m probably just going to buy guitar hero for the PC and then you can “modify” the game so you can play all the guitar hero 1 and 2 songs as well.

    its such a shame nintendo havent pushed activision more on this..

    its one of the best games ever invented and there going to loose it all to microsofts 360 which has loads of extra downloadable content..

    i know loads of people that are contemplating selling there wiis and moving on to the 360 version just got gh3 and all the updates available

    yes it would be cool to have some better songs, but as “alpharocker” said and “bill” its most likely will not occure. activision is now too buisy with GH 4 and is forgetting about #3

    You guys are foolish to believe that they would support issuing more songs for #3 when they are working on #4. Rules of marketing would make them stupid to pawn off some games rather than sell the masses a whole new disk. I assume they will change the guitar as well to suck a few more bucks out of us.

    I would really love to be able to download songs to the Wii Guitar Hero III as well. But sadly, TheCoose is probably right. As much money as they suck out of us, it would be no surprise that they just release a new Guitar Hero that can have downloadable songs put on to it instead of just giving an update or patch to enable you to download songs to Guitar Hero III. The newer games will also probably require a NEW guitar for another $70. So this way, not only do we have to buy a whole new game and guitar all over again, but now we get to spend more money on downloadable songs as well! You could easily end up spending $100 or more to get the game, guitar, and songs. It’s all just a marketing ploy. Remember this people.

    good news and bad news, first good news is that Gh4 will have downloadable content for the wii, but the bad news is just like alpharocker said the wii probably wont get any downloadable content for guitar hero 3, i have a wii and some of my friends have a 360 so they get all the downloadable content while people who have a wii don’t get any extra songs to play which makes Gh3 for the wii very boring after some time. i went out and got another gh controller for the ps2 and got gh1 and gh2 all for the sake of playing a new song for once. i am pretty disappointed that the wii will not get any DLC so i guess im gonna have to wait for few more months for GH4
