i believe it is going to be a new kid icurus because it is supposed to be a rivival of an old series. In my opinion I think retro studios might be the ones making it. I hope its a first person shooter kid icurus. sounds awesome. but no one knows. I hope im right cause exploring ancient greek cities and mythological bosses would go so hard.

@ Soho — the crystal bearer Final Fantasy stuff is announced…so that wouldnt be a series thats “returning.” i think of one thats returning as one that hasnt been around in a long time…

Although it’s not a franchise game series, I would LOVE to see a Chrono Trigger version on Wii, assuming it was perfectly polished. Maybe it will be the Donkey Kong/Diddy Kong Country series (since Diddy is in Brawl now). But yeah, there is always Megaman/Bomberman/Kirby. Final Fantasy? In which case, it would be the crystal bearers, of which there is little news. Oh well…*hopes*

Let’s see.. Castlevania is still around, Fire Emblem just got new release. Other than Kirby, Bomberman, and Mega Man, the only other majors are Kid Icarus and Earthbound. Then the honorable mentions such as Excitebike, Punch Out, Wave Race, Star Fox, and perhaps StarTropics (which is coming soon to VC) may see a revival. Kirby’s confirmed for a 2008 release though.

We all oughta bet on Kid Icarus III: The Adventure of Pit. From the looks of Pit’s adventure mode preview in Brawl, there’s just gotta be a story to tell.

Pit for me too seems to be the most likely… I can’t really think of anyone else in the nintendoverse who’s died in games past who could work well in this day in age…
