It was sold out in every store. Once a shipment arrived (max. 5 pieces a month for a hughe store...)it was sold out in just a few minutes... And suddenly at a giant store (Saturn) there was one Wii laying on the shelf... a consumer brought the device back because he could not get the internet connection running... and I bought it...and it is running fantastic. My kids love it. They are 6 and 8 and the Wii is the only game console I want them to play with because I don't want hypnotized, addicted and paralized kids in front of the TV. I was surprised when I found 3 Wii boxes at a nearby Hollywood video store. Tip: Try looking in stores where not a lot of people really go to. Don't forget the little stores in the plazas. How, exactly, can a console be the fastest selling console in history if the demand for the console is created by not selling the console to anyone? The advice for these people - not "the best" advice, but *the only* advice - is to do what I did to get my Wii back in March. Go to a retailer who you trust and get them to put you on their waiting list. Check back with them periodically until they have stock for you to collect. Enjoy your Wii.
