Nice move of Nintendo to use the SMB Overworld Theme in the commercial. That tune could probably sell the game on its own, just imaging people walking by the TV, hearing the song, thinking: “hmm, I recognize that, isn’t it old Mario? In a new game!? For Wii!?!”…

I got my remote jackets, but I got them with GHIII, so haven’t really used them to play a game.
I did put one on to see how it felt, though and it was immensely comfortable.

And to anyone who hasn’t gotten theirs yet, dont worry, they look much better in person than they do in the official pictures.

haha! just watched the commercials, like paq said, great music choice.
But also fantastic marketing by Nintendo in the first commercial with the father and son.

I got the new jackets and i love them. They aren’t that pretty (ugly actually) but the feel really comfortable. Better that any other skins or jackets. They are definitely worth the price (free!!)

I’ve gotten them, but I use Nyko’s Wii Remote Charger so can’t put them on.

The jackets are extremely comfortable, but unfortunately do not pass the style test in our household. When you start with something as iconic as the original Wii remote, the addition of jelly-shoe padding is an eyesore.

I guess they’re like bike helmets: Necessary to avoid injury, but dorky as hell. *sigh*

I too got my jackets just before I purchased GHIII so I haven’t used them a whole lot. That being said, if you’re like me and you get sweaty hands when you play, the jackets are the cure for what ails ya. They provide a lot more friction than the wiimote alone and I dig them. Are they stylish? No, but I don’t play the Wii in Armani suits either. They are certainly practical.

    Best analogy ever.

I don’t mind the look of them. They’re free, and they’re comfy. I got mine two or three days ago.
I can’t wait for Galaxy, but luckily I still haven’t beaten Zack and Wiki, so I can wait.

Received them but cannot use them with the remote charger unit. I tried cutting a square to allow contact but the jackets are too thick. They do feel good however.
