I was out of component inputs on the TV so it's great to be able to use the VGA input. Colors and sharpness are far improved from the composite cable I was using before. Overall, I am pretty dissatisfied with these cables, I suppose I should have known that many older games wouldn't look stellar, but I honestly expected much more.
