Nintendo has announced that by the end of September 2007, Nintendo has sold 13,170,000 units of Wii’s since the launch of the console. This is an amazing feat, never before has there been a video game system that has sold this many units in such a short period of time. (There has been a Revolution!)

As for software sales, the Wii has sold 65,810,000 units world-wide, bring the software to hardware ratio into a decline from 6:1 to 5:1. Still though, impressive numbers! Nintendo hopes to sell 17.5 Million Wii’s by the end of the fiscal year and 97 Million Wii software!(did I hear someone say Wii software doesn’t sell?

That’s a great achievement, and we’ll probably see it hit 14 million by the time it hits Wii’s 1st birthday. I wonder how far it would’ve gotten if they had met their demands. In reality, no time soon will any of us will see that.
