I’ll be buying one what games is it compatible with it
September 22nd, 2007 at 7:13 am
i wont be buying a zapper because i have this thing called a KNEE that i rest the controler on to improve my aim. You might want to try it sometime.
also if your playing a game like RE4 on this and you need to swipe the controler for a knife slash or something then it’ll shake the nunchuck too which could bugger up the controling on some games.
This is just a useless novelty, just like the wii sports template thingys. Imagination is free.

Its just a piece of plastic that you put your wii mote and nunchuck in. So you can play it with any game that your comfortable playing it with.

I rather buy the official wii wheel when it comes out it looks better
September 22nd, 2007 at 11:39 am
I’m not getting it.
I’m not buying and bull crap shells.Things like the GHIII controler, that actauly lug into and use the wiimote and what we need. Like a pistol, and the wiimote side into the clip slot (IR side facing down) and plugs in, then the pistol has some weight to it, and wireless, and rumble, and even a speaker. That would be cool, not some lame shell.

No brainer this is a dog-on better deal.
For the same price as those other Wii light gun shells, this one even comes with a game to try it out on.
Definite buy for me! \:D/
When is it coming out, Nov. 19th still?

I won’t be buying it. Maybe some day, but right now I don’t think I want it or need it.

I’m surprised at the low quality and piss poor design of the latest wave of peripherals from Nintendo to include this and the smallest game wheel in the world. It’s terrible that these all have to look like shells when they could easily conceal a lot of the controller or give us something like the original zapper concept. With all these issues though I see myself picking this up mainly because it comes with a new game and the price is right. Design aside, I do think this will feel great when playing the slew of shooters to follow and give the player a more realistic arcade style feel that you just wouldn’t get with remote alone and your “knee”. Think about the GH controller for those who’ve played it and how if it weren’t a guitar (like passed music games), how the replay value would drop off dramatically. There’s something about peripherals that can enhance the gaming experience and improve upon the value of the game.

I agree w/ MJ, but the game looks pretty fun!
September 22nd, 2007 at 4:30 pm
I will definitely be getting, and RE:UC, AND Ghost Squad. I want to SHOOT THINGS! $20 is a good price for the Zelda game alone!
September 22nd, 2007 at 8:15 pm
Well, it’s more like 9.99 for the game and 9.99 for the Zapper.
Imagine if it comes with the Wii Remote and the Nunchuk as shown on the box, and still costs 19.99? This package would be soaring!
Anyway, I hope the current ToysRUs deal (Buy1 Get1 50% off accessories) lasts ’til then so I could get this for 9.99, or else it’s up to Google Checkout.

That Zelda game is a joke. Do not even refer to it as a game.
I will buy Ghost Squad because I love it in the arcades, but usually the sights of at least one of the guns is off…

Technically not a “Zelda”, but a “Link” game rather.
Just as “The Adventure of Link (Zelda II)” is opposed to “The Legend of Zelda”, except this is more a Wii Play-Duck Hunt type of mini-game.
Yeah, the thought of it bites donkey butt, but who knows how the game will turn out. Duck Hunt offspring in Hyrule style? Bring it on! \:D/

Just found a screenshot:

It’s a Link mini-Adventure in FPS! That’s radical change since The Adventure of Link (Zelda II).

That would be cool if it came out on november 19 cause its my b-day! Just like the wii!
September 23rd, 2007 at 7:09 pm
The mini-games should be good to pass some time trying to get high scores but in reality its a bonus for a $20 peripheral. Think of it as such and there shouldn’t be anything to whine about unless, for some reason, the Zapper is a hunk of junk. I really see this as a great arcade simulation device and everyone will want one
This will be blowing off the shelf come Christmas.

I will be getting one of these and also the one that ‘Brando’ is selling. I can see some games being better with the full stock of the wii zapper (like GHOST SQUAD which will rule) and I can also see some games that would be better with the Brando 2 in 1 since it can detach the nunchuck and keeps the wiimote as a gun. Finally there will always be games that just play better with the standard wiimote and nunchuck config…. Options are always nice and I welcome them all… ;-}
Here’s the Brando 2 in 1 link (nice breakaway design):
