Sega Show’s Some Love.

Simon Jeffrey, head of Sega’s North American arm, saya with the low development costs on Wii will see third-party output on the system offer more originality than on the Xbox 360 and PS3 for the years to come. After receiving the Best Wii Game award at the Leipzig Games Convention last week for Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, the Sega chief told MCV: “There is no doubt that we will see more risks, and therefore more creativity on both the Wii and the DS in the next couple of years. Just look at what EA is already doing on the Wii – EA doesn’t usually do that kind of game.

“We will probably see a fair bit of standardisation for a while from third-party publishers in the games that they develop for 360 and PS3, as the huge development costs are ‘rationalised’.”

Couldn’t agree more with this article…
Don’t get me wrong, I like playing my 360 when its working (RROD) but they do release alot of the same stuff over and over again. I feel like the games were the same in content, just getting better graphics. Hopefully more ‘risks’ will be taken on the Wii since the production costs are cheaper. Creativity and fresh ideas can only help the industry.
