From Prime to Pit?

With the announcement of Retro Studios giving Samus a rest.

Will they be the one to make a Pit Game?

Seeing as how a Pit Game is almost a sure thing from his return to the screen in Brawl to the Interview with Matt Casamassina with Shigeru Miyamoto, back in 2005:

“IGNcube: Will you make Kid Icarus for Revolution?

Shigeru Miyamoto: Well, I’m actually working really closely right now with the director of the [original] game. Now, whether or not when we get the Revolution all set up and everything is finalized, well who knows? That might be one of those characters where everybody says, “Hey, with the way our console is designed, that would be a perfect match.” My question to you is, if we made this game would you buy it?

IGNcube: Absolutely.

Shigeru Miyamoto: Well, we obviously can’t ignore that. Okay, we’ll get the Eggplant Wizard coming back.

If Shiggy still remembers him after all these years, that’s got to be a good sign – and another would be that we’ve already seen two different Kid Icarus levels revealed in the Brawl trailers so far. Could Pit call the cloud stage home, while Eggy here dwells in the Atlas-inspired underground dungeon? We can only hope – we’d love to attack our friends with his vegetable scepter, encasing their heads in attack-neutralizing eggplants.”

I think it’s a great possibility and I would love to see them make this game if they do anything like they did with Prime 3.

~Max’s Q’s

I think it would be a great fit. With the story having endless possibilty’s and such unique character they could almost reinvent the story from start. What do you think the possibility’s are of Retro Studios making the Game ? Would you like Retro Studios to make it? Do you think it will ever become a Game? Would you like a Pit Game to be Made?

I would love a Kid Icarus sequel. I love the original and I downloaded on VC as soon as it was available, though I haven’t been able to play much, and its a lot harder than I remember :-) .

it would be fitting too because the original kid icarus used the metroid engine on the nes!

I’m sorry ,but I have to say I’m so proud of the Prime to Pit thing. I made it in like a minute.

People tend to forget that Kid Icarus really wasn’t that great, and it DID get a sequel already on the Game Boy. Kid Icarus is just one of those games that elitists whine about and everyone else pretends to be one of them.

    @Joe

I really like the first one always have ,but beside that they could really explore this Character more.

He could become a great if they do it right.

all i know is having a game that uses two kick ass swords for fighting and then combine them together real fast and shoot some arrows…
I could see it switching from first to third person view as you change from bow to swords…

I look on the internet every day for the slightest bit of info on a new Kid Icarus game. I actually liked and beat the NES version when I was 9yrs old. I’m pussing 30 now. Give me a break and give me this dang sequel. Retro’s killing me they need to announce this game already.
