Filed under: Exclusive, News — Max @ 12:20 am

In the latest edition of Nintendo’s official North America’s magazine, Nintendo Power, readers are asked to answer a few questions revolving around the subject of Wii game demos(view in picture below)1 Wii Demos

Considering that it’s an official publication, Nintendo will take a good long look at the answers. How did/would answer the questions?

Its simple, i want to get Star Wars Force Unleashed on Wii cause of the special duel feature, but i downloaded the PS3 DEMO and the graphics are badass and has more lvls than other systems. So i want a DEMO on the Wii so i can compare the graphics and maybe the duel system before i make my choice. But Wii is lame right now and doesnt offer DEMOS, but they will flood the game channels with retarded games that most, who havent been to Japan or played an emulator version, know about.

Actually i'd say that it would benefit Nintendo to have a demo channel, and just do like they did with the internet channel, charge 100 points to permanently gain access to the demo channel (and/or let people win them).

Why not create a demo channel? That was the problem with the gamecube, lack of demos for us to play unless we were standing in the game store getting a cramp in our neck looking up at a screen.

This would be smart and would allow us to play games before we buy the games. Maybe we would think that a game really stinks, until we actually play it, so then that would gain a buyer that wasn't even planning on making a purchase initially.

    Please Nintendo, stop being stengy!!!!

come on ps3 and Xbox have free downloadable demos why cant the Wii.
  • i want to have them downloadable
im living in germany and we don't have a magazine like the NP =( (maybe N-Zone =I)
    i want them DOWNLOADABLE:
    SMG, SSBB, MKWII, BWII
  • I like the first three options on question D. Mailing the demos would be nice, download station, and Wii Shop.

Well, quoting the late Mitch Hedburg "AWW, COME ON!, Don't make it hard, JUST GIVE ME A COUPLE!"

    :)

I'll agree with MJ (For once :P)
And say paying for DEMOS is weak.
Why would I pay for something that I want to try before I actually put out money for it?

    Might as well rent it.
    Knowing nintendo, it's probably cheaper.

For E. a choice is missing in my opinion. Where is the "Are you fucking retarded? Pay for demos? Kiss my ass." choice?
Demos via WiiConnect24 would be great. Now if we only had the space... if they could allow us to download them to SD it would be no problem though.

The whole nintendocommunity wants it!!! Please release a demo channel! :)

Interesting... I can't see actual Wii games working to well as downloadable demos... But VC & other Wii shop channel playable demo are something I could REALLY get into... In fact IMO that's something that should have been done in the fist place... Not those mediocre 30 second videos...

As for the larger games, Seeing as I'm not to crazy about deleting almost everything off my Wii's flash memory each and every time I would want to try a demo out... I wouldn't mind paying for a special subscription as long as its not more then $20 extra a year... (And more importantly they don't force it on people who don't want to pay more)
  • C'mon, just what I want.
