zombiewii.jpgThis really doesn’t come as a total surprise, but its always nice to hear positive Nintendo news. Quote taken from the press release:

Thanks to the success of the Wii and DS consoles, Official Nintendo Magazine recorded a 35% year-on-year rise to 47,925 copies, seeing the title going from strength to strength under Future’s direction, since taking it over from Emap in January 2006.

Also, detailed in the press release, Xbox’s official magazine has seen a rise in sales, while Playstation’s has seen an (expected) drop. To make sure you know, this are details for the UK versions. No data has been given for their North American counterparts.

  • I used to actually buy this magazine (for like 7-8 years), I stopped about year after future started to make it. There reviews were more like a few paragraphs with tons of pictures. And they spent time reviewing quite obviously bad games even though they could of just covered all the bad games on one page and reviewed the good games they missed out. Ugh, any way it sucks IMO.
