Metroid Prime 3 Demo? August 15, 2007
Rumours swirling about after recent comments from Nintendo of America’s Perrin Kaplin that plenty of Metroid Prime 3 promotional surprises are on there way.
Speaking to IGN, Perrin Kaplin said the following:
“…we still have a lot of our more traditional marketing efforts planned. People will see it all shortly, from ads to many of the usual tactics we use to support our key products. Plus: a few more surprises like the Metroid Prime 3 Preview. And no, I’m still not going to spoil the fun and tell you about it ahead of time.”
There’s no evidence in that statement to suggest that some kind of downloadable demo is on the cards,but I can’t help myself. America has seen a Metroid channel pop up on their Wiis - a downloadable demo channel would just fit.

We can hope for a demo, but I still have a feeling it’ll never come for Metroid Prime Corruption. Maybe Mario Galaxy or Brawl, but not Metroid.
Do you guys realize how HUGE a downloadable demo would be?
Umm… you know that channel, the one America has, you know America where Perrin Kaplan works, at NoA, well, that Channel, which we discussed earlier, goes by the name of the “Metroid Prime 3 Preview” You might notice it say that when you load it. So my guess… that she meant the “Metroid Prime 3 Preview” when she said that, which is what it is. Ha ha I think I sound like a jerk. What I mean is: don’t get your hopes or any of the site’s readers up based on a misinterpretation of what a pretty clear statement.
plus, i meant what “was” a pretty clear statement, not just what a clear statement. sheesh i suck.
yeah, unfortunately if there ever were a demo it would be a very large download (too big for the Wii’s memory) so it would have to stream it’s contents somehow…
I have to say, the only way this would really be possible would be if the Wii got a hard drive, which most likely won’t happen anytime soon. And if it was held on an online server, most likely there would be horrible lagging problems.
This news post is bull, there will never be a demo for any Wii game.

It’s something I would like/hope to see although it probably won’t ever happen.
I think it would be cool if there was a demo disc that you could go get at like gamestop or something for free, that would be pretty cool. however downloadable is pretty much out of the question due to the poor excuse for a harddrive inside the wii, it doesnt even have room ffor all my save data and virtual console games, let alone a demo of a full wii game!
Anyone else notice that the preview channel didn’t update and make the two videos for 8/16 available? I’m kinda bitter… what the heck is this lazy crap? Today is August 16th and it says the next 2 vids will be availabe on August 16th, yet here they are, still pasty white and un-watchable. Is this only happening to me? can everyone else see them?
