New Nintendo characters in ‘08? August 7, 2007
Famed Nintendo game designer, Shigeru Miyamoto, said in an interview published on Sunday that new Nintendo characters could be coming as soon as next year.
“I guess I don’t necessarily see my job as creating new characters as it is creating new experiences,” Miyamoto told the Mercury News when asked why Nintendo isn’t making new characters as of late.
“For characters, we came up with the concept of the Miis and that allows people to come up with their own characters. Maybe next year sometime, we may have new characters in the same way we came up with Pikmin when we introduced the GameCube,” he added.
Pikmin, created by Mr. Miyamoto, was released in 2001 being the last original game characters introduced by the company. Other notable figures include Mario, Pokémon, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Metroid, and Star Fox.

I consider myself a traditional gamer ,but I don’t care if it gets an M rating I rather play Mario,Zelda and Fox games then I would Halo are something gory.
If it’s got a good back story, character and Gameplay I can more then do with out blood/gore.
