Manhunt banned in the UK
I used my banned in the UK graphic for this, so sue me…

Nintendo contacted Joystiq with a statement regarding this story saying, “Games made for Nintendo systems enjoy a broad variety of styles, genres and ratings. These are some of the reasons our Wii and Nintendo DS systems appeal to such a broad range of people. But as with books, television and movies, different content is meant for different audiences. That’s why the ESRB provides ratings to help consumers understand the content of a game before they purchase it. As stated on Nintendo.com, Nintendo does not allow any AO-rated content on its systems.”

  • Good. Screw 'em. This is the kind of game that nobody needs to play. The first one was just sick, and wasn't even an interesting game to begin with. Talk about giving Jackie-boy some fuel for the fire!!

    I wonder if maybe this was all just a bunch of overhype like when Bully came out. There were talks of that game being banned and everything else too and it ended up with a Teen rating by the ESRB!

    I mean, I understand this is definately worse than that game but still, is it really that bad? We haven't even seen it yet!

    take two has stated that the game will have an m rating, and remember that the ao is preliminary and the esrb hasnr played the final version yet

    Man, this sucks! Then what's the ESRB for? Isn't it supposed to warn someone before they play a game? I really wanted Manhunt 2, cuz the 1st one rocked!

    Also note that Amazon.co.uk only has a Manhunt 2 Guide left up for sale, other versions have already been removed. The same for Amazon.de

    Manhunt 2 is not slated for a 360 release. Only meant for Wii, PS2 and PSP. So no release at all.

    The kiss of death. I'm sure Take Two will edit the content so it passes an M rating otherwise this could pose devastating for Take Two who has suffered several times for its games of this nature.
