Lara Croft on the Wii

Lara Croft has been confirmed to IGN that Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Anniversary will be coming to the Wii.

This won’t be the only Lara Croft Coming to the Wii.

“I think this is the beginning of what I hope will be our taking the franchise in multiple directions, much in the way that it has happened with other franchises out there in the sense that we want to discover what works on Wii and go that path with Tomb Raider. At the same time, we’ll leave our doors open because we are a third party for the directions that we need to go with Microsoft and Sony. We’re learning what it is that Nintendo consumers like to do and how we can make our products adapted into that market. My hope is, yes, there’s lots more to come.”

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider Anniversary will feature Wii-specific controls, though Eidos hasn’t specified any differences between the wii version and the PS2 & PSP. It’s Scheduled for release later this year.
