Ghost Squad to hit the Wii May 10, 2007

ghost squadWith a rumored 4 game modes, training, “Special”, multiplayer and arcade, Ghost Squad looks to be the Wii’s first online FPS.

There are only a small amount of details at present, but we do know that there are 25 weapons and that it will be an “on-rails” shooter (similar to arcade classic, Time Crisis). Within each of the levels, there are a number of available routes for the player to choose. Weapons to choose from include the pistol, shotgun, machine guns, submachine guns and even a cross bow. The Wii version, although very similar to the arcade version, has a few exclusive goodies, you can now disarm bombs and rescue hostages using the Wiimote.

There will also be a 4-player multiplayer mode.

I honestly don't see the point in making it online if its a on(e)line game.
it says several paths, but lets face it.
Does wii's first online FPS need to be styled as an arcade classic?
It would be worth buying if you made it a free roaming game.

And yes, a bad pun was intended.
