Gates Wii

In a recent interview with TV Tokyo, Bill Gates said that, in the video game industry, Microsoft’s biggest competition is not Sony but Nintendo.

The strength of Nintendo on the portable space has been very impressive and surprised a lot of people; and the strength of the Wii; and we see Nintendo as the toughest competition,” said Gates. Gates’ statements are not a surprise considering the tremendous sales both the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii have enjoyed since they went on sale.

Straight from the man at the top of the highest techno-tower in the world. Anyone who says Bill Gates is not “far-seeing” is kidding themselves.  Looks like Microsoft has an idea of how this “Console War” will play out.

Story: "Anyone who says Bill Gates is not "far-seeing" is kidding themselves."

Anyone who hasn't yet figured out that Nintendo is a force to be reckoned with, is deaf, dumb, blind, and quite dead. Sorry, bub, but Microsoft is still reacting.

Why can't anyone seperate the news from the photoshopped pictures that go along with them? Just because the news was posted with a picture obviously touched up no very long ago doesn't make the news itself old.

Mick, Dont try to make this confession seem like obselete news. Take a closer look at the picture... The Everybody Votes channel is up there, which was released in the middle of February ; )

This interview actually happened months ago. Very old news, like Decemberish.

I love how they put the Wii channel screen on that old but classic photo.

It also could be simply because he's talking to japan, which we know, is still basically owned by nintendo, unlike the us, where before the release of the wii, found itself an uphill battle in north america. For the most part, they still have one, it's too early to declare nintendo the winner this time around, but I think we'll know in a year, since by then halo 3 will have come out, as well as MP:3 corruption, and maybe sony will come up with something... another FF perhaps?
