Nintendo Makes The Wired 40!

Wired, a monthly and online magazine that focuses on how technology impacts culture, economy, politics and many other aspects of our world has listed Nintendo in their 10th annual 40 Most Wired Companies in the World list. It was their first time being named on the list.

Wired’s 40 list consists of companies they see as masters of innovation and technology who think globally and dominate their industry. Nintendo, ranked at #6 is recognized for selling over a million consoles a month with the Wii and its “acrobatic controller�.

Other companies who are part of the gaming world on the list included Nvidia at #10, Electronic Arts at #20 and Microsoft at #40 though I don’t think they’re being recognized for their gaming ventures. As a long time Nintendo fan it’s really nice to see them recieve so much recognition, especially from a publication as well respected as Wired.
