Metroid Prime 3 Delayed Until After June April 4, 2007

Reggie Fils-Aime recently made a very predictable announcement. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption will not be released until after June this year. The question of the day is how long after June?
My guess is we probably won’t see Metroid Prime 3 until near the next holiday season. It’s a shame but if it includes an awesome online gameplay system and it really pushes the Wiis graphics to a new level then maybe it will be worth the wait.
Reggie also commented that Metroid Prime 2 had disappointing sales and wants the next game to be the best in the series. Honestly, I thought the first two Metroid Prime games were stellar and if the second Prime didn’t sell it was probably due to lack of interest in the Gamecube and not the game itself. Anyone here play Metroid Prime 2 and find it disappointing?
