The creator of a 2D fan remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time recently passed away in a fatal car accident. Dampe (as he was known on the forums) devoted himself to the OoT2D project for months.

With his death, the game, the official OoT2D webpage as well as the forums are closed forever.

WiiNintendo reported about his game and supplied this video (which has become a YouTube memorial of sorts)  from late last year shows the game in action. View the video WATCH

    Too bad the whole project is being dropped, why don't they pass the source code on, so that someone can continue this?
    Then I didn't know Dampe, so I can't say what he would've liked to be done.
    Pulling the site was a good idea for now, because it would've probably been bombarded with RIP messages.
