Nintendo on Game Show Network March 9, 2007

Twenty-one

This was kind of weird last night. I decided to watch the new show “Twenty-one” on the Game Show Network. Maury Povich asked this guy a game-related question: “In 1974, Gary Gyrax co-created what fantasy adventure game?” We all know that it is NOT Nintendo. Nintendo is a company, not a game, and has been around since the late 1800’s and Hanafuda cards. It was just strange to see the word “Nintendo” on a game-show, no matter if it’s Jepardy!, Greed, or this game because it relates to you somehow. All I can say is, thanks to Tivo for pausing the TV to get the camera!

P.S.: the answer was b. Dungeons and Dragons

  • Well yeah, I don't think they merely put 'Nintendo' there as a way to perhaps mislead the contestant. In any case, I'm sure (I hope) they know that Nintendo is not the name of a game! :)
