Best Buy…WHAT!!! February 26, 2007

bestbuy story Best Buy...WHAT!!!

This bites!  I guess, according to an article posted at Gonintendo, Best Buy had a HUGE sale on last-gen games, all $1.99-$9.99, yesterday.  Unfortunately, I think that was earlier today, or is it tomorrow.  I may try a trip to by local Best Buy to see if it is still on…for a copy of the extensive list, see Esteban’s post at GoNintendo.

Update: I guess this was MORE than a one day thing…I’m not sure if it’s for a limited time or permanent.

@Pete: All of the games in the overstock section are discounted, but there are a lot in the regular sections...they are really all over the place and not all in one spot.

I went to Best Buy today, and there was almost nothing...they had a lot of titles that were $14.99 and $19.99 with a special tag. They said that they would be $9.99 or less. All they had was PS2 for Eragon, and some worthless PSP games, and a lot of GBA titles. They had some in the Cube and DS section, but they were either $14.99 or $19.99, and all crap titles. Liars.

I was just at BB last night and didn't see squat on sale for Gamecube - are the discounted games set aside somewhere?

I goofed on this post. There are also several next-gen games, but they are all from the XBox 360. There is quite a few games I want for Cube that I've missed.
  • WHAT THE FLUKE~! I was there the same night. I went to pick up a Wii Classic Controller and skimmed through the Gamecube and GBA isle without even checking out the prices. Dangit! I gotta go back and find out, but from what I had seen, nothing really that I want since I already have.
Toy R Us has a sales on games as well, 9.99 for GBA games, etc. I guess all the retail stores are just trying to get rid of the old games to make space for the new games.
