391331546 207d3e70d2 New MySims Wii details

The game begins with your Sim surrounded in a town, that, to say the least is a bit of a run down kinda place. In the grand scheme of things, you’re task involves sprucing up the locality in order that other Sims will view upon it as a nice place to move on in to. Once a little community has gathered, your Sim and others will be able to network in such a way not previously possible in the franchise. Rumor is that EA are aiming for the level of social interactivity demonstrated so well in titles such as Nintendo’s very own Animal Crossing. “By using the relationships menu you can keep tabs on who likes you, who thinks you could do with a wash, and who wouldn’t spit on you if you were on fire,”

MySims will offer up to 80 characters to choose from, and despite their similarity to Miis, EA’s avatars are a lot more customizable. Facial features, tattoos and a wider selection of skin color are just a few of the more expansive attributes on offer for players to mold their Sim. Additional gameplay features include the ability to construct houses and other buildings from scratch (Lego style, block by block), while planting seeds and tending to the plants that sprout as a consequence – a la Harvest Moon can now compliment the exterior areas of said structures.

  • I can't wait for the "My Sims" to come out! I love the Sim 2 for computer, including the 1st, (but not as much as the 2nd) and also for the playstaion 2, and so on. I really hope to get a wii as soon as possible, and then get "My Sims"!!! :-)

I have to say, sometimes it feels like the use of cutesy graphics are just a way to push a title out the door... instead of porting a nice looking engine to the Wii. With the Sims, I remember enjoying some of the realism in building a little virtual neighborhood. I'm not sure it will be as enjoyable with the overly simplified graphics.

Then again, maybe I'm just wishing for a nicer looking game to hit for the wii. Is anti-aliasing really so much to ask?
  • I don't care about this game childish graphics.. if it comes to do all that it says.. I will definitely get this one...
