festers quest was cool but too hard and kinda ripped of master blaster. btw konami made some excellent games too, rescue rangers, (noted above) tmnt all versions except the first were cool, metal gear confuses even today, on another note, who played phantom fighter, little nemo dream quest, or mighty bomb jack? all great, nintendo should have a blog where games get added to the vc based on fan votes.

@Lewis: Yep Sunsoft did make some gems. And remember they had the Looney Tunes license back then; I'm not sure if they still own the license for some of their past games such as Tiny Toon Adventures, but I'd sure like to see those. Back then, licensed games were good. I enjoyed Mickey's Ultimate Challenge, Chip 'N Dale: Rescue Rangers, Ducktales, and EVEN Yo Noid!

To answer the second question, I'm not sure. I didn't post it. It's kind of strange that there is a Rockstar logo at the lower left of the screen. Plus, I don't see how it deals with the topic.

i can appreciate 2d gaming just as much as you, lewis. though i do agree that many of the younger kids don't realize the significance and timelessness of classic 2d games
