Southwest Airlines gives away 50 Nintendo DS Lite

Southwest Airlines Heart Nintendo
Southwest Airlines partnered up with Nintendo to give away 50 Nintendo DS systems with the game Brain Age. The airlines most frequent flyers received these at home as a little thank you for loyalty to the airline, but not only that, also to pass the time on the next flight. I guess since in-flight cinema is never any good, it was a wise choice. Southwest Airlines sounds pretty excited about this give away.

We are thrilled to partner with Nintendo to give our Members some FUN in the New Year.

Becaue there is no fun on airplanes. Ever. Good thing the director of marketing planning and customer loyalty admitted this. Could’ve been interpreted the wrong way otherwise.
On the other hand this is good marketing by Nintendo, because these people fly a lot and probably do not care for gaming at all, but maybe if they’ll try it, they’ll realise what the vice president of marketing is hoping.

Providing some of Southwest’s premiere travelers with these gifts helps us reach out to new audiences and shows that we make fun games for everyone.
