Wii News Channel Debuts A Day Early! First Impressions!
For those who don’t know, the Wii News Channel is now available, one day earlier than the January 27th date that had previously been announced as the release.
While I haven’t had much time to play around with it, I will say the loading screen is a little strange, with a random cat sitting on top of the screen.
But once inside, you can do a slideshow of all the day’s events, which actually brings up the Forcast channel’s globe, and pinpoints where on the map a news headline is taking place. It’s actually a pretty cool way to see what’s happening right now, and where (in case you didn’t know where Los Angeles or New York was). Once it shows you the headline, you can click it for the entire story.
There is also the more traditional view of the headlines, which are divided into the normal categories of world, sports, entertainment, etc.
This is the best I could do as far as a picture of the slideshow feature (cell phone camera) but hopefully this can hold you guys over.

Everyone get home, update, and enjoy!
