Wario Ware: Smooth Moves…First Impressions January 14, 2007

Well, I got this game on Friday and have to say that it’s not too bad. The main story will take you about 1 hour to blast through and will teach you all the different ways to hold the remote as well as how to play.
You have to play through all of the single player before you unlock the multiplayer mode which is a pain because it’s really a party game and you don’t really want to sit and play through it while everyone is watching.
The mini games are good and innovative but they start to get very similar, there is also not as much replay value as you got from the Gamecube and DS versions.
The single player offers you the standard characters and some stand alone minigames which gives you a lot of choice. The multiplayer offers 4 modes and 3 minigames, darts being the best.
One annoyance is the fact that all the players must use the same remote which is stupid since its fast paced and you are supposed to put the strap on which at times is not possible at times.
Overall it’s a good game and great with some friends around, but I’m not really sure it’s worth paying full price for. It makes great use of the Wiimote and is still fun but I feel that they could have done so much more with it.
