Wii Play video January 8, 2007
The Wii Experience has put up a brand new multiplayer video from the upcoming Wii Play title. More video is also available at GameTrailer.com’s Wii Play page. This is a collection of minigames such as pool and air hockey, but the real seller is that it comes packaged with a Wiimote and will sell for $50. Yum. As with Wii Sports, Miis are fully integrated into the games. Double yum.
This game looks like a nice little package. People will be buying Wiimotes anyway so it’s nice to pay an extra $10 and get a game with it. My only worry is that Nintendo won’t produce enough of these packages and we’ll have a situation similiar to launch, where Wiimotes and Nunchucks were (and still are) in very short supply. Hopefully Nintendo will realize that most Wii owners want at least 2 Wiimotes, and manufacture accordingly. If the launch showed us anything, it’s that there is a STRONG demand for Wii accessories. Make it happen Nintendo!

I think its well worth picking up if you put it that way, nice little set of simple fun games for 10 bucks, and your getting a controller for the normal price.

Hasn’t Wii Play already shipped in the US?? Here in Germany it was available on launch date, and of course the best way to get a second remote..
But for me these games are boring..

I personally already have two remotes with nunchucks, I would love to the see the game separate from the controller.

Yeah, it was released in DK at launch too, but is sold out right now. I’m waiting for it to get back in stock…

It was released in holland 2 days before launch. I directly bought it but I still had to wait 2 weeks for my Wii to come. But after all that trouble I like this game (especially “Charge” where you have to race on a cow!). And the free WiiMote is also handy. The game is 40 euros over here incl. WiiMote, while the WiiMote without a game is 40 euros too.
