Wiimote Bundled With Game in Japan
In a new game in Japan, the Wiimote will be bundled with that game.
So you have your Wii, and you want to give everyone a chance to play, but you don’t want to invest in a second controller? Nintendo has the solution for you!
In Japan, Nintendo will be bundling a Wiimote with Hajimete no Wii, a mini-game collection whose name we like to translate as “My First Wii.” The game and Wiimote will be bundled together for 4800 yen, making it cheaper than a standard 5800 yen Wii game.
As detailed in an earlier article, Hajimete no Wii, a launch title set for Japanese release on 12/2, includes a variety of mini games designed to make players familiar with the Wii remote control. Included are pinball, table hockey and pool. The simple point-and-click shooting game Nintendo demoed at E3 is also included in this collection, as is a mini game where you move your Mii (the Wii name for your avatar) around on a city block.
This is the first Wii game to be bundled with a peripheral of any form. Nintendo is expected to bundle special expansion units with future titles depending on the requirements of the game.
