Wii Japan Special Events

Nintendo of Japan is planning a few Wii events so that customers can try out the Wii.

Nintendo Japan announced today plans to take Wii on tour throughout Japan later this year. Prior to the system’s 12/2 launch, Nintendo will make the system playable at events held in three locations throughout the nation.

The first event will be held in Nagoya on 11/3. It will be followed on 11/12 by an event in Osaka, ending up in Tokyo for a two-day event to be held on 11/25 and 11/26.

This schedule mirrors Nintendo’s Touch DS event that preceded the launch of the DS back in 2004. That event showcased a number of new DS titles, from Meteos to Kirby, so we’re hoping to see similar support here.
