EA to Help DS Over PSP

The DS will be receiving renewed support from EA over the PSP. 

In an interview with MCV magazine, David Gardner, EA’s executive VP and COO of worldwide studios, stated that EA will begin focusing more on developing titles for the Nintendo DS, rather than the PSP.

Gardner admitted that EA originally had bet more on the PSP because of excitement over the technology, but now feels Sony’s handheld needs some help.

Gardner stated:

“We must never forget that what we need to focus on is fun and so EA is putting more effort behind DS games – and creative ones that really take advantage of the hardware.”

Strong hardware sales and well performing DS titles are the main reasons behind EA’s renewed excitement for the DS platform.
