Doom for DS Confirmed

Doom for DS has been confirmed… 

On the first day, there was the GBA, and it was good. On the second day came Doom for the GBA, and it was … well, it was ok. Fast forward a few days, and we have the DS, an even better handheld than the GBA and lo and behold, we have an even better Doom to go with it. Life is good, people. Life is good.DSDoom is a port of Doom to the Nintendo DS based off the Prboom source tree because of its “purity and portability,” or so say “The Chuckster” and “WinterMute,” the folks who created the darn thing. On the down side, no touch screen controls (boo, hiss), but on the up side, WiFi multiplayer! To be fair, Chuck and Mute say that touch screen controls are part of “future plans,” as is perhaps music support. In the meantime, you’ll have to settle for playing Doom, Doom II, and Ultimate Doom on the bus. Bummer, huh?
