Chocobo DS Game

A spinoff of the Final Fantasy series featuring Chocobos will appear shortly in Japan. 

If Final Fantasy III on Nintendo DS isn’t enough to satisfy your Chocobo fix, you’re in luck.

Square-Enix is set to release a DS game featuring the Final Fantasy series’ faithful feathered steed this winter in Japan. Titled Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon (Chocobo and the Magic Picture Book), it features Chocobo and his friend Shiroma, who dive into a magical picture book to save their friends and thwart the plans of the evil mage Kuroma.

The game features a 3D graphics engine, much like Final Fantasy III and Mario Hoops 3-on-3, both also developed by Square-Enix. It’ll hit Japanese store shelves this winter, but no American release has been announced.
