Good Point Of E3 2006
This is a comment from 1up’s news. A good point: Nintendo may not have swayed other developers in making Wii title’s if it wasn’t for E3.ÂÂ
While all three companies were clearly in favor of the decision to scale back the show, they did admit that E3 had been helpful in terms of getting games exposure in the mainstream media. “As we evolve the show, we shouldn’t lose sight of what it did for us,” said Ubisoft’s Laurent. He also raised a potential downside of this change, citing the overwhelmingly positive reaction to Nintendo’s Wii at this year’s show and how it swayed a lot of peoples’ opinion on the console. “I’m not sure Nintendo could have gotten that same level of attention without E3.”
