Pokemon Diamond/Pearl Wi-Fi

Looks like Pokemon Diamond/Pearl has a confirmed Wi-Fi feature.  Hopefully, there will be a US date soon enough.

Poke-fans have been clamoring for a way to battle each other without resorting to a link cable for years, but the upcoming release of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl should finally solve that problem; the latest scans from Famitsu via NeoGAF clearly show a Wi-Fi label on the game’s box art.

We’ve known the latest Pokemon would take advantage of Nintendo DS‘ Wi-Fi capabilities for some time, but that could have just as easily been local Wi-Fi, while Nintendo saved online battles for a separate, later release. Thankfully, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are hitting Japan on September 28th (and will have connections to the upcoming Pokemon game on Wii), but a US release date hasn’t been nailed down yet.
