Bob Ross to Have Best Painter on Cover July 3, 2006

Filed under: Fanboy — Hochiminh @ 9:50 pm

I know that there was an article in the past about this, but this submission is due by September 15th, which is substantially different than the other date.

With a Bob Ross painting video game coming to Nintendo DS and Wii, you’d expect to see some happy trees on the cover, but those happy trees could be your happy trees.

Bob Ross Interactive is holding an art contest, with six winners getting their work included in the game and the best submission getting placed on the cover. All art work needs to be made in the classic Bob Ross style, and all work must be of a seascape or landscape, two scenes for which Bob Ross was best remembered.

The late Bob Ross hosted The Joy of Painting, one of the most widely known painting shows in the world. His recognizable appearance and calm demeanor, along with a painting style he said could be learned by anyone has helped make his show a worldwide success even today. The submission form for the contest can be found at the Bob Ross Interactive website.

No estimated release date for either the DS or Wii game is known, but the submission deadline for the contest is September 15.
