 Metroid Prime: Hunters survey

“You are one of a select group invited to participate in this very important study on Metroid Prime Hunters, so please don’t delay…”

That was the beginning of the email I recieved from Nintendo. Needless to say, I immediately completed it. It had the usual questions like ‘How did you hear about this game?’ and ‘On a scale of 1-7, how would you rate this game?’

But one of the questions sticks in my mind… ‘Would you buy a sequel to Metroid Prime: Hunters?’

Is it possible that they could be planning another DS installment of Metroid, featuring Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and more hunters? We can only wait and see…

Dude!!!!!hunters is the best i dont like the prime series.too scary and you dont have any of those galitic fedration guys helping you!!!!hunters is cool theres not too much exploreing.

The two metroid primes for gc were incredible games, and felt (to me) like 3d metroid games mostly due to the level design and autoaim.

Metroid prime hunters is a too much a FPS, and certainly does feel like quake for ds. There is too much shooting and not enough exploring in the single player.
IIRC, they delayed that game to add multiplayer. If they didn't incorporate nintendo wifi connection into that game, it would have blown ass. But as a multiplayer game, it's very good, but not not metroid-ie enough.

what are you? morons. MPH was great, so is the whole Metroid prime series.
    why? i'll tell you why...

    1)GREAT graphics.Better than just a bunch sprites..
    2)amazing storyline.
    3)Way more exploration.
4)On hunters you get to play as other characters! Is it just me or is playing a female cyborg not as appealing as playing as 7 foot alien made of rock,A red spiky parasite that can turn invisible or an 8 foot killing machine that can mess up peoples visors?.

I liked the original Metroid, but I don't like the Prime series, save Hunters.

I'd have to agree with naishox here.

I feel like Metroid is becoming a Nintendo version of Halo. I thought that Prime 1 had a pretty good feel, but lately the games have been loosing the isolation that made them great. Personally, I disapprove of Hunters... Metroid just isn't Metroid if there are other characters in the game.

Well, just about all of my responses were positive, especially on the sequel part. I put 5 (on a 1-7 scale) on the player limit (4)... they could've gone all-out and had 16 players at one time! Oh, well...

I got a survey about a DS version of Smash Bros right after the DS launched but never saw anything else about it. NOA doesn't seem to mind asking people's opinions, which is pretty cool but who knows if they are gonna actually make MPH:2. Anyway, what did you say about it? I thought that Prime, Prime 2, and Hunters all lacked the sort of "Metroidness" from the earlier games. There is too much focus on scanning and reading in the GC versions and for better or worse MPH plays like Quake on a DS.

Maybe Dread will remind me of the good times I had playing Super Metroid way back when! Did you play the GBA ones? They were both too short to me, but closer to creepy self-directed exploration than the GC versions.
    Well, maybe not Fusion :)
