Barbie Now Owned by Activision May 23, 2006
Starting this fall, Barbie will start shacking up with Tony Hawk publisher Activision; the company announced today an exclusive multiyear agreement with Mattel to distribute Barbie games.
The company doesn’t appear to be helming the development side of the Barbie game empire, but they will be distributing games based on Barbie movies The Barbie Diaries, Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses and others this fall, not to mention redistributing some of the most popular Barbie games released in the past.
