What the Wii’s internet service needs to be.

Friend codes are a great concept for a mobile device….internet gaming would be safe…secure…and limited. Which is fine for a mobile device….but when nintendo decided to make friend codes the system in the Wii….well….lets just say this is a horrible choice….and with both of the competitors saying “Buy our console…..and a Wii” The network of users will be huge….and its sad that something so crappy will host such a great thing….so this is my vision of what the Wii online service should be.

Integration to My Nintendo and more.

It’s possible you are a hardcore Nintendo fan….but you dont have a My Nintendo account….if you want one just go to Nintendo.com and check it out. Basically they should intergrate there free online service with My Nintendo so that way you can access all you features and stats online, and take part in a community of Wii fans. See I added the “and more” at the end because I believe they should make the service like a limited myspace….eachplayer gets a profile and a friends list, can choose to hide which info or just hide the entire profile, can send messages and post “bulletins” of win a new championship or contest is coming up. It would be great for nintendo to integrate the My Nintendo service into the Wii….and include the features of My Space….it would just work.

Online Game Saves

Some people just want to jump into a game with everything or features without working for them…a online game save catalog (for free of course) would help not only n00bs but also lets say the game save doesnt affect the game…..but how your character looks, acts, like you could download the “Miyamoto” skin for Wii Sports and play as Miyamoto.

Let the users decide.

Ugh….this is what bugs me about the DS service….they want it to be safe for young players but ESRB is there for a reason…..they put the “Game Experience May change During Online Play” there for a reason….so when the parents buy it they know what to let there kids do and what not to do. If the parents want to turn off talk with a headset….they can do that…if the parents want to disable…games over a certain rating…let THEM DECIDE. Don’t use friend codes cause the players who want to own and shout about can. So the players who want to be more mature online can. Microsoft has it right with there online features and parental controler(although they do need to work on it alitte) They have a great online service and theres only room for improvment by you guys….dont screw up what you cant fix in firmware updates!

So that about sums up what I can think of right now what I want the Nintendo Online service to be…if you want to contact me and add your vision and have it posted here in one of my articles…email me at MrPhiller @wiinintendo.net

Yes, I am most definitely BUMMED…they are also not having automatic rechargable controllers. You’ll need rechargable batteries. Rats!

Well, Hochiminh (how do you pronunce it?), recharchable batteries could make the controller cheaper, especially considering the fact that I already own a pair.
