thats nice for the ds lite.
there also coming out with the tv tuner for the ds it lets you watch tv i think its wi-fi enabeld too so nintendo ds will be the greattest hanld held system
even with the new games that will come out.

if you have Broadband but no Wi-Fi you’ll need Nintendo’s USB Wi-Fi adaptor.

I just saw the release of the Opera browser was released, guessing we can import it and use it? Or do we have to wait for the American Release??

you have to wait for it to come out in america… useually if u import foreign things for a U.S. system they’ll get messed up.

Hmmm, I like the idea of using the stylus and handwriting recognicion, but it might be a bit of a let down if the browser doesn’t support at least flash, if not shockwave (being able to show 3D graphics) and/or flash.
Also, I think that the TV Tuner which someone mentioned will have a small areal, (I know I spelt it wrong)instead of wi-fi enabled.

yes the DS is region free, but thats not what im saying, im saying that the imported DS browser isnt, besides, youll have to read all that crap in japanese if it doesnt have a language option

yeah… the flash and java thing…im willing to wait a year or two untill thats enabled on the browser before i buy it, i mean if you go to nintendo.com you’re still not going to be able to view half the stuff thats on there

nobody is entirely (emphasise…entierly=100% sure) sure that it will come out in december but that is the most likely release

ok, like i was going to order one from japan, but the browser for reg DS is hella rare!!!!!!!!!! it seems that the world does revolve areound me, when ever i buy somthing, they come out with a newer version within a month!!! happend to me with gbc,gba, and gbasp!! now the ds!!!!!!! also some other stuf i bought, like lego mind storms, i bought for $200 and now it is $100 and they have a v2 for $250 that is WAY better!!

I’ve been a nintendo fan for years, i’ve seen nintendo get plowed by playstation and microsoft. but i always knew nintendo was up to some thing and bam!!!!! here it is the wii and the DS. now expect the callabo. nintendo was third for far to long now nintendo strikes back. also with the ps3 delay and the lack of ps3 available at launch! i think sony is doomed it’s over sony it’s over nintendo will take back it’s throne and crown and have the world saying Wii

this ds browser is so pointless ds is coping sony psp they are just trying to be a lower price. but to say that the nintendo ds does not have as good as games psp owns in games also get over it o wow a web browser it is wireless get a life besides the sony psp has faster downloading then the nintendo ds

PSP ownz that..it had a web browser long ago with the firmware updates..and the BIG N will probably make you pay for it…DS is nothing in comparison to DS..not on a gaming level…and def not on a multimedia device it pwns it in everyway cept maybe battery life lol

Thats exactly right bhtooefr I need a web browser to login to my college’s wifi network. This is why Doomheit’s suggestion of using WEP keys wouldn’t work even I used a program like NetStumbler to discover them.

Guys, I got specs all about it. It does have a December release date. But the browser cannot play Flash documents, movies, and music. I heard it takes a while to load a page (as I read from the UK’s IGN website. So, this browser’s gonna be cool, but it won’t be compatible with some content. It’ll be a little like running internet off of a version 1 Windows 95 with a generation 1 Pentium processor (which I am not using right now! [whistle]). However, I am just as eager as all of you are.

Just to answer a lot of peoples questions/statements
I don’t believe a release date has been set for America yet
I’m probably going to by the UK/Australian version of ebay or something, instead of waiting forever for it to possibly not come out

A DS bought from another country will work in the US or other countries. Otherwise I don’t think that people would import the japanese systems.

The Japanese and european versions do not support flash, java, PDF files and audio. But there has been rumours that the american version will support at least flash and PDF files, which means that you should be able to view animations and watch videos.

Well guys, this is my first post here, but i have a rumor about the American ds opera browser bit now i think it might be true, saying it will support flash and pdf viewer,infact you could play flash games by the in built “getkey” , meaning you van actually set the default button controller of the game to the ds conyroller button, and so is the stylus acting as a mouse,i will validate this news after a confirmation so stay tuned.

What I want to know is where can I get the version for nintendo DS cause I don’t want to sell my normal ds and have to buy a lite for this…even if I trade in my DS I’ll only get 37 dollars (in credit…creadit gives more money) then I’ll still pay the rest and get still buy the ds lite browser which is waaaaay to much money BTW I live in the usa if thats of any relavance.
